Management Information Systems

Management Information Systems is responsible for setting technical standards and providing reliable and efficient technical support and services to twenty-three City departments.

Centralized Support


With over four hundred computers and various peripherals (including printing and storage devices) located throughout the City of Brownsville, centralized support is critical to providing good internal customer service.

Support Requests


That support is provided to the City employees 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through a mostly phone based centralized help desk. Support requests are also taken via email and automatically funneled into the help desk software for Information Technology Technician assignment.
